Carrying out analysis for re-use options, preparing concept drawings for a preferred use, developing these for resource and building consents and preparing Heritage Impact Assessments.

Providing strategic planning advice relating to heritage sites, preparing design guidelines for larger developments or District Plans, establishing and defining Conservation Areas and preparing thematic studies of heritage areas. Making recommendations regarding registrations or listing of heritage items.

Any site which is the subject of building or development and which has evidence of human habitation from before 1900 must have an Authority issued by the NZ Historic Places Trust if any of the site is likely to be damaged, disturbed or destroyed. Subsequent to this authority archaeological expertise may be needed.

Preparation of Archaeological Authority applications to the NZHPT for sites dating pre 1900, carrying out photographic surveys of historic buildings, providing or sourcing drafting services and advice regarding interpretation of historical sites.
